Michael Mirmak * Everyone in attendance marked by * NOTE: "AR" = Action Required. ------------------------------- MINUTES ------------------------------------- Randy Wolff conducted the meeting. Weston Beal recorded the minutes. Revised 07 MAR 2024. Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the 27 FEB 2024 meetings were reviewed. Michael Mirmak moved to approve the minutes. Weston Beal seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. Call for opens: - Michael asked to discuss ibischk parser distibution AR review: New ARs: - Lance will check with Tammy to see if they have a current list of licensees. no report Discussion: - Michael discussed with Pete Pupalaikisat DesignCon getting free access to the parser, not just the checker, tschk. The parser is available to those who have purchased the license to the source code. The user would like to have an open-source parser to Touchstone 2. Michael had an AR from the interconnect task group to ask this group about the possibility of providing some sort of parsed data from a Touchstone 2 file. The other aspect of this is the license agreement for the parser source code. At some point, providing the parsed data gives away part of the benefit of the source code. In summary, the problem is not technical, but financial. - Atul delivered the source code for tschk210 with the test suite. The program is compiled only for Linux. All of us work on Windows, so testing is not straightforward. The group reviewed and discussed the process of running the test suite. Each member of the group will investigate access to a Linux machine to run the tests. - Arpad Muranyi showed a potential bug in the ibischk program. the checker reported a warning in the ISSO pulldown curve. The file being tested has inconsistent data in the min case but not the typ and max cases. The checker does not report the error. The HyperLynx checker reports this as an error, but the committee checker reports a warning. Weston commented that syntax errors that violate a rule stated in the specification are errors, but data inconsistencies are warnings. Lance said that ibischk reports an error if V-T to I-V data is inconsistent by more than 5%. The group needs to look into the requirements of the checker to make the decision about what is an error or warning is consistent in all the data checks. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - none Weston moved to adjourn. Lance seconded. Without objection, the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:59 pm ET Next meeting 12 MAR 2024
